Interview with Cyree Heat from A Change of Scenery- Debra Parmley

Introduce yourself. What book are you from? Are you the hero, heroine, villain?
I’m Cyree Heat and I’m the heroine in the story A Change of Scenery.
How did you come to your author’s attention?
Well I was heading out of town on a Caribbean vacation before I got locked into an empty lounge in the airport. My author noticed me and said why is this woman locked in this room and how will she get out? She knew then that something unusual must have happened.
Did you give your author a hard time when she was writing your story?
I was just happy to be out of that lounge at first, but then I had to go on the run with Warren. Then I was too busy running from the bad guys with my handsome hero to give her a hard time.
What do you do for a living?
I’m a belly dancer. I teach dance classes and perform. But I may have to take up a new job because that one is too visible and now that would make it too easy to find me.
Who is the love of your life?
Warren West. I would go anywhere with him.
What was the first thing you noticed about him/her?
When I first looked up and saw him he appeared tall, strong and he was very protective.
What’s your greatest fear?
That they will catch me and I’ll be separated from Warren and forced to take that injection. I don’t react well to the new medicines and an allergic reaction might kill me. That’s why I grow my herbs.
What’s your motto in life?
Live one day at a time and be thankful for it.
How do the other characters in your book view you?
Warren is very much a gentleman with me. Unlike the other men who’ve been in my life. Once they hear I’m a belly dancer, they change. But not Warren. It’s like he sees me, how I really am beyond the dancing. He would see past any costume or makeup I might wear and really see me.
What do you think reader will find interesting about you?
Well, there aren’t too many belly dancer heroines in romance stories and if they are, they usually aren’t modern American belly dancers.
What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done?
After we were married about a week I came home after a performance and my now ex husband poured oil all over me while I was still wearing my costume then asked me to dance on the floor. It wasn’t long before he joined me on the floor and peeled the clothes from my body. That was one wild night. We ruined the carpet in from of the fireplace, never could get the oil out.
Will we be seeing you in future books?
You might! My author says if readers like my story well enough, she will write more of my adventures.
What makes you happy?
The beach and the ocean, dancing, and Warren. He says he’ll take me to the beach since I missed my Caribbean vacation.
What makes you mad?
My ex stealing from me and cheating on me with my divorce attorney. Stealing my inheritance. The government lying to us and forcing us to take shots we don’t need.
Belly dancer Cyree Heat is headed from Memphis to the Caribbean for a vacation after a horrible divorce. A Change of Scenery is just what she needs to forget her troubles. At the Atlanta shuttle station she is handed a letter, which says she cannot board the Zuilund Super Shuttle until she receives an injection of Sendot, a new drug that prevents a new deadly gastrointestinal illness. She stops in a shuttle lounge for a drink on her way to check in and gets locked inside the wrecked deserted room with no one to hear her calling and no cell phone service.
Navy SEAL Warren West finds Cyree sleeping in the lounge and rescues her. Soon they are on the run from the agency because she missed her injection and shuttle and is now on the list. Is a change of scenery what she needs or is it Warren?
